Renesas’ SmartBond DA1470x family of advanced Bluetooth 5.2 SoCs enable voice-controlled sensor applications with rich graphical interfaces while maximizing battery life. The DA1470x family of Bluetooth SoCs integrate a 160-megahertz Arm Cortex-M33F application processor, an Arm Cortex-M0+ sensor node controller for efficiently reading and processing sensor data, and an ultra-low power 2D GPU core and display controller providing advanced graphics capabilities. These devices feature a highly efficient 2.4 gigahertz radio that provides a 103 dB link budget. This is paired with an upgradeable and software-configurable MAC that can support Bluetooth LE 5.2 and proprietary protocols. These SoCs also have an integrated battery charger and a system power management unit that provides multiple rails to power the SoC plus external loads. The ultra-low power Voice Activity Detector enables always-on audio processing to support keyword detection on the edge for additional power savings and improved privacy.
