AV4524 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output traces short and symmetrical, and use a common mode choke to reduce EMI.
  • Use a heat sink with a thermal resistance of 10°C/W or less, and ensure good airflow around the device. Avoid operating the device in high-temperature environments or with high power dissipation.
  • Use 10uF to 22uF ceramic capacitors for input and output decoupling, and 100nF to 1uF ceramic capacitors for bypassing. Ensure the capacitors are placed close to the device pins.
  • Use a shielded enclosure, keep the device away from antennas and other EMI sources, and use EMI filters or common mode chokes on the input and output lines.
