A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output traces short and symmetrical, and use a common mode choke to reduce EMI.
Use a heat sink with a thermal resistance of 10°C/W or less, and ensure good airflow around the device. Avoid operating the device in high-temperature environments or with high power dissipation.
Use 10uF to 22uF ceramic capacitors for input and output decoupling, and 100nF to 1uF ceramic capacitors for bypassing. Ensure the capacitors are placed close to the device pins.
Use a shielded enclosure, keep the device away from antennas and other EMI sources, and use EMI filters or common mode chokes on the input and output lines.
Power up the device in the following sequence: VCC, VIN, and then enable the output. Power down in the reverse sequence. Ensure a soft-start circuit to prevent inrush currents.
