ES1DAF Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output traces short and away from each other to minimize noise coupling.
  • The ES1DAF requires a bias voltage of 2.5V to 5.5V. Ensure the bias voltage is stable and noise-free, and that the bias pin is decoupled with a 10nF capacitor to ground.
  • The ES1DAF can handle input signal amplitudes up to 2Vpp. Exceeding this may result in distortion and reduced performance.
  • To minimize power consumption, operate the ES1DAF at the lowest possible supply voltage (2.5V) and reduce the bias current by using a higher value resistor in the bias network.
  • Use a TVS diode or a transient voltage suppressor (TVS) with a standoff voltage of 5.5V or less to protect the ES1DAF from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
