ROHM recommends a PCB layout with a thermal pad connected to a large copper area on the bottom layer, and multiple vias to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.
ROHM recommends following the derating curve in the datasheet, and ensuring that the device is operated within the recommended temperature range. Additionally, a heat sink or thermal management system can be used to reduce the junction temperature.
The maximum allowable voltage for the input pins is 5.5V, as specified in the datasheet. Exceeding this voltage may cause damage to the device.
The LTR18EZPF2201 is designed for low-frequency applications up to 100kHz. For high-frequency applications, ROHM recommends using a different device specifically designed for high-frequency operation.
ROHM recommends following standard ESD handling procedures, such as using an ESD wrist strap or mat, and storing the device in an ESD-protected package. The device has built-in ESD protection, but additional precautions are still necessary to prevent damage.
