A thermal pad on the bottom of the package should be connected to a large copper area on the PCB to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.
Use a decoupling capacitor (e.g., 10uF) close to the device, and ensure a stable power supply with minimal ripple. Also, consider using a thermal interface material (TIM) between the device and heat sink.
The maximum allowed voltage on the input pins is 5.5V, exceeding which may cause permanent damage to the device.
Check the power supply voltage, ensure correct pin connections, and verify that the enable pin is properly driven. Also, check for any short circuits or excessive current draw.
Store the device in a dry, cool place (below 25°C and 60% RH) to prevent moisture absorption and damage.
