Abracon recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane on the bottom layer, and a microstrip or stripline layout for the RF signal traces. Additionally, keep the RF signal traces as short as possible and away from noise sources.
Follow the recommended soldering profile and temperature guidelines in the datasheet. Use a solder paste with a low melting point and a reflow profile with a peak temperature of 260°C. Avoid exposing the device to temperatures above 260°C for more than 10 seconds.
The ACR1004GC is rated for operation from -40°C to +85°C. However, it's recommended to derate the device's performance and consider thermal management for applications exceeding 70°C.
The ACR1004GC is not hermetically sealed and is sensitive to moisture. Abracon recommends using the device in a dry, controlled environment with a relative humidity below 60%. For applications in humid environments, consider using a conformal coating or potting the device.
The ACR1004GC is designed to operate with an input power level of up to +10 dBm. Exceeding this level may cause damage to the device or affect its performance.
