The maximum power consumption of the ASM1061 is 2.5W, but it can be as low as 1.5W in low-power mode.
To configure the ASM1061 for SATA III speeds, set the SATA_SIG_SEL pin to '1' and the SATA_SPD_SEL pin to '11'. Additionally, ensure that the SATA clock frequency is set to 150MHz.
The ASM1061 supports cable lengths of up to 2 meters for SATA III and 1 meter for SATA II.
To implement hot-plug detection, connect the SATA device detect (SDD) pin to a GPIO pin on your system. The SDD pin will go high when a device is connected and low when it is disconnected.
The built-in ECC engine in the ASM1061 provides error correction and detection for data transmitted over the SATA interface, ensuring data integrity and reliability.
