Panasonic recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane for the AVL32453. The device should be placed near the power source, and the input and output traces should be kept short and away from noise sources.
The AVL32453 has a thermal pad on the bottom of the package. Ensure good thermal contact between the pad and the PCB by using a thermal interface material (TIM) and a heat sink if necessary. Keep the ambient temperature below 85°C and avoid hot spots on the PCB.
Panasonic recommends a 10uF to 22uF X7R or X5R ceramic capacitor with a voltage rating of 10V or higher. The capacitor should be placed as close to the VIN pin as possible and connected to the GND pin.
The AVL32453 is rated for operation up to 85°C. However, for high-temperature applications above 85°C, Panasonic recommends using a heat sink and ensuring good thermal management. Consult with Panasonic's application engineers for specific guidance.
