  • ROHM recommends a PCB layout with a thermal pad connected to a large copper area on the bottom layer, and multiple vias to dissipate heat efficiently. A minimum of 2oz copper thickness is recommended.
  • To ensure stable operation with a high-impedance input signal, add a 1kΩ to 10kΩ resistor in series with the input pin to reduce the impedance. Additionally, consider adding a 10nF to 100nF capacitor in parallel with the input pin to filter out noise.
  • The maximum allowed voltage on the EN pin is VCC + 0.3V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
  • To prevent latch-up, ensure that the power supply voltage (VCC) rises and falls slowly (typically 10ms or more) during power-on and power-off transitions. Additionally, add a 10uF to 100uF capacitor between VCC and GND to filter out noise.
  • The recommended input signal amplitude is between 0.5V to 2.5V peak-to-peak. Signals with amplitudes outside this range may not be accurately detected or may cause false triggering.
