CST2-100LC Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

The recommended PCB land pattern for the CST2-100LC is a rectangular pad with a minimum size of 50 mils x 30 mils (1.27 mm x 0.76 mm) with a non-solder mask defined (NSMD) pad.
To minimize the impact of PCB layout and proximity to other components, keep the CST2-100LC at least 10 mm away from other components, use a solid ground plane, and avoid routing high-frequency signals near the inductor.
The CST2-100LC has an operating temperature range of -40°C to +125°C, but derating is required above 85°C.
Use a soldering iron with a temperature of 250°C to 270°C, and apply a small amount of solder paste to the PCB pad. Ensure the inductor is properly aligned and seated on the pad before soldering.
