  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output tracks as short as possible and use a common mode choke to reduce EMI.
  • Use a reflow soldering process with a peak temperature of 260°C. Ensure the PCB is clean and free of oxidation. Apply a small amount of solder paste to the pads and use a soldering iron with a temperature-controlled tip.
  • The EMIF06-1005M12 can operate from -40°C to 125°C, but the maximum junction temperature should not exceed 150°C.
  • Use a voltage regulator to limit the input voltage to 12V. Add a fuse or a PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor to protect against overcurrent. Consider adding a TVS (Transient Voltage Suppressor) diode for additional protection.
  • A 10uF to 22uF ceramic capacitor with a voltage rating of 16V or higher is recommended. The capacitor should be placed as close as possible to the input pins of the EMIF06-1005M12.
