GALI-51+ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the signal traces short and away from the power plane to minimize noise coupling.
  • Apply a voltage of 5V ± 0.5V to the VCC pin, and ensure the VEE pin is connected to a quiet ground. Use a 10uF capacitor between VCC and VEE for decoupling.
  • The maximum input power is +10 dBm. Exceeding this may cause compression or damage to the device.
  • Use a matching network or a tuned circuit to optimize the GALI-51+ for the desired frequency range. Consult the application note AN-60-012 for more information.
  • The operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C. However, the device's performance may degrade at extreme temperatures.
