TDK recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane for the HHM1711Q1. The component should be placed near the power source and the output capacitors should be placed as close as possible to the IC.
The HHM1711Q1 has a thermal pad on the bottom of the package. Ensure good thermal contact between the thermal pad and the PCB by applying a thermal interface material (TIM) and using a heat sink or thermal vias to dissipate heat.
TDK recommends using a 10uF to 22uF ceramic capacitor with an X7R or X5R dielectric as the input capacitor. The capacitor should be placed as close as possible to the VIN pin of the HHM1711Q1.
The output voltage of the HHM1711Q1 can be adjusted by using a resistor divider network between the FB pin and the output voltage. The resistor values can be calculated using the formula provided in the datasheet.
The HHM1711Q1 can deliver up to 1.5A of output current. However, the actual output current capability may be limited by the input voltage, output voltage, and thermal considerations.
