ICP-10100 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • TDK recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane for the ICP-10100. The device should be placed near the center of the board, and the power and ground pins should be connected to the power and ground planes, respectively, using vias.
  • The ICP-10100 requires calibration after power-up. The device has an internal calibration sequence that runs automatically after power-up. The calibration sequence takes approximately 10ms to complete. During this time, the device is not ready to take measurements. After calibration, the device is ready to take accurate measurements.
  • TDK recommends using a 10uF ceramic capacitor and a 1uF ceramic capacitor in parallel, placed as close as possible to the power pins of the ICP-10100. This decoupling scheme helps to reduce noise and ensure stable operation.
  • To minimize the effects of EMI, TDK recommends using a shielded enclosure, keeping the ICP-10100 away from high-frequency sources, and using a low-pass filter on the output signals. Additionally, using a ground plane and proper PCB layout can help reduce EMI susceptibility.
