ICP-10110 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • TDK recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane on the bottom layer, and a separate power plane for the VCC and GND pins. The sensor should be placed as close as possible to the edge of the PCB to minimize noise and interference.
  • The ICP-10110 requires a two-point calibration process, where the sensor is exposed to known pressure points (e.g. atmospheric pressure and a reference pressure) and the corresponding output voltages are measured. The calibration coefficients can then be calculated using the datasheet equations.
  • The ICP-10110 is rated for operation from -40°C to 125°C, but the accuracy and stability of the sensor may degrade at extreme temperatures. It's recommended to operate the sensor within the -20°C to 85°C range for optimal performance.
  • The ICP-10110 is not designed for use in humid or wet environments, as it may be susceptible to moisture ingress and corrosion. If the sensor must be used in a humid environment, it's recommended to apply a conformal coating or use a protective enclosure to prevent moisture ingress.
  • TDK recommends using a 10uF ceramic capacitor in parallel with a 1uF film capacitor to decouple the power supply pins (VCC and GND) of the ICP-10110. This helps to filter out noise and ensure stable operation of the sensor.
