  • A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate layer for the high-frequency switching node is recommended. Keep the high-current paths short and use a common grounding point for the input and output.
  • Monitor the input voltage, output current, and junction temperature to ensure they are within the specified limits. Use a thermal management system, such as a heat sink, to keep the junction temperature below 125°C.
  • A low-ESR ceramic or film capacitor with a value of 1-10 μF is recommended. The capacitor should be placed close to the VIN pin and have a voltage rating of at least 1.5 times the maximum input voltage.
  • Use a shielded enclosure, keep the switching node and output cables short, and add EMI filters or common-mode chokes to the input and output lines. Ensure good grounding and decoupling of the PCB.
  • The maximum allowed output capacitance is 220 μF. Exceeding this value may cause instability or oscillations in the output voltage.
