  • A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the driver IC away from heat sources and ensure good airflow.
  • Connect a sense resistor (Rs) between the output and GND. Rs should be 1% accurate and have a low temperature coefficient. The OCP threshold is 1.5A typical.
  • Use a low-ESR, X5R or X7R ceramic capacitor with a value of 4.7uF to 10uF. This ensures stable input voltage and reduces noise.
  • Use a resistor (Rset) between the SET pin and GND. The output current (Iout) is calculated as Iout = 0.1V / Rset. Choose Rset to achieve the desired output current.
