  • A good thermal design should be used to minimize thermal resistance. A thermal pad on the bottom of the package should be connected to a large copper area on the PCB to dissipate heat. Multiple vias can be used to connect the thermal pad to the copper area.
  • To ensure stability, a minimum output capacitance of 10uF with an ESR of 1 ohm or less is recommended. Additionally, the output capacitor should be placed close to the output pin to minimize parasitic inductance.
