  • The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VDD first, followed by VSS, and then the logic inputs. This ensures proper device operation and prevents potential latch-up conditions.
  • To ensure monotonicity, it is recommended to use a clock frequency of at least 10 kHz and to avoid making large changes to the wiper position in a single clock cycle. Additionally, the device should be operated within the recommended operating conditions and the voltage on the RH and RL pins should be within the specified range.
  • The maximum voltage that can be applied to the RH and RL pins is VDD + 0.3V, but not to exceed 6.5V. Exceeding this voltage can cause damage to the device.
  • When the wiper is at either end of the resistor array, the device will not be able to move the wiper further in that direction. In this case, the device will not respond to further clock pulses and the wiper will remain in its current position.
  • The WP pin is a write protect pin that allows the device to be put into a read-only mode. When the WP pin is tied low, the device is in read-only mode and the wiper position cannot be changed. When the WP pin is tied high, the device is in read-write mode and the wiper position can be changed.
