To ensure the stability of the output voltage, it is recommended to use a capacitor with a low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and a high ripple current rating. Additionally, the output capacitor should be placed as close to the output pin as possible to minimize the loop inductance.
Although the datasheet specifies a maximum input voltage of 36V, it is recommended to derate the input voltage to 30V or less to ensure reliable operation and to prevent damage to the device.
To protect the device from overcurrent and overheating, it is recommended to add an external current limit circuit and a thermal shutdown circuit. Additionally, the device should be mounted on a heat sink to dissipate heat efficiently.
A ceramic capacitor with a value of 1uF to 10uF is recommended for the input capacitor. The capacitor should be rated for the maximum input voltage and should have a low ESR to minimize voltage ripple.
