MJTP1117 Details

APEM recommends a star-point grounding layout to minimize noise and ensure optimal performance. A ground plane is also recommended to reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI).
APEM recommends mounting the MJTP1117 on a heat sink with a thermal conductivity of at least 1 W/m-K. Ensure good thermal contact between the device and heat sink using a thermal interface material. Keep the device away from heat sources and ensure good airflow.
The maximum allowed voltage drop across the MJTP1117 is 1.5V. Exceeding this voltage drop may affect the device's performance and reliability.
The MJTP1117 is rated for operation up to 125°C. However, APEM recommends derating the device's power dissipation at high temperatures to ensure reliability. Consult the datasheet for derating curves.
APEM recommends using overvoltage protection (OVP) and overcurrent protection (OCP) circuits to prevent damage to the MJTP1117. A fuse or PTC can be used for OCP, and a zener diode or TVS can be used for OVP.
