MP200 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the signal traces short and away from noise sources. Use a common mode choke or ferrite bead to filter the power supply lines.
  • Use a reliable communication protocol such as SPI or I2C, and ensure that the clock frequency is within the recommended range. Also, use a pull-up resistor on the SCL line and a pull-down resistor on the SDA line.
  • The MP200 is rated for operation from -40°C to +125°C. However, the device may not function optimally at the extreme ends of this range. It's recommended to operate the device within a temperature range of -20°C to +85°C for optimal performance.
  • The POR and BOR features are enabled by default. To handle them, ensure that your system design includes a power-on reset circuit and a brown-out detection circuit. You can also use external reset circuits or supervisory ICs to handle these features.
  • Use a 10uF ceramic capacitor and a 1uF ceramic capacitor in parallel, placed as close as possible to the power pins of the MP200. This will help to filter out noise and ensure stable operation.
