A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the switching node (SW pin) away from sensitive analog nodes and ensure good thermal conduction to the PCB.
Choose an output capacitor with low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and high capacitance. A 10uF to 22uF ceramic capacitor with X5R or X7R dielectric is recommended. Ensure the capacitor is rated for the output voltage and has a low ESL (Equivalent Series Inductance).
Use a 1uF to 4.7uF ceramic capacitor with X5R or X7R dielectric, rated for the input voltage. Place the capacitor close to the VIN pin and ensure a low-impedance path to the input capacitor.
