A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output traces short and away from each other to minimize noise and EMI.
Monitor the input voltage, output current, and junction temperature to ensure they are within the specified limits. Use thermal management techniques like heat sinks or thermal interfaces to keep the junction temperature below 125°C.
A 10uF to 22uF X7R or X5R ceramic capacitor is recommended for input decoupling. The capacitor should be placed as close to the VIN pin as possible.
Use a shielded enclosure, keep the input and output cables short and away from each other, and add EMI filters or common-mode chokes to the input and output lines.
The maximum allowed voltage drop is 0.5V. Ensure that the input voltage is sufficient to maintain the required output voltage, considering the voltage drop across the internal FETs.
