Sensirion recommends a reflow soldering profile with a peak temperature of 260°C, a dwell time above 220°C of 30-60 seconds, and a cooling rate of 4°C/s or less.
The exposed pad should be connected to GND to ensure proper thermal and electrical performance. A thermal via or a large copper area connected to GND can be used to dissipate heat.
The SHT21S should be calibrated and used within a humidity range of 20% to 80% RH to ensure optimal accuracy and performance.
To prevent condensation, ensure that the sensor is stored and operated in an environment with a relative humidity below 80%. If condensation occurs, allow the sensor to dry slowly at room temperature.
Power up the VCC pin first, followed by the SCL and SDA pins. This ensures proper initialization of the sensor and prevents potential damage.
