  • Sensirion recommends a reflow soldering profile with a peak temperature of 260°C, a dwell time above 220°C of 30-60 seconds, and a cooling rate of 4°C/s or slower.
  • To enter sleep mode, send the 'sleep' command (0xFF) to the sensor. The sensor will then enter a low-power state, consuming approximately 100 nA. To wake the sensor, send any valid command.
  • Place the SHTC3 near the edge of the PCB to minimize the impact of thermal gradients. Ensure good thermal coupling to the PCB by using a large copper area under the sensor. Avoid placing components that generate heat near the sensor.
  • The SHTC3 is calibrated during manufacturing, but you can perform a one-point calibration for temperature and humidity using the 'reset' command (0xFE) and then adjusting the offset values accordingly.
  • The maximum cable length for I2C communication with the SHTC3 is approximately 30 cm (12 inches) due to the capacitance of the cable, which can affect signal integrity.
