  • Sensirion recommends a reflow soldering profile with a peak temperature of 260°C, a dwell time above 220°C of 30-60 seconds, and a total process time of 3-5 minutes.
  • The exposed pad should be connected to the GND pin and should not be connected to any other signal. Ensure good thermal conductivity by using a sufficient amount of solder and a solid connection to the PCB's ground plane.
  • Use a single-ended digital interface with a maximum length of 10 cm. Route the clock and data lines as close together as possible, and use a ground plane underneath the lines to minimize electromagnetic interference.
  • The SHTW2 is calibrated during manufacturing, and no additional calibration is required. However, if you need to perform a system-level calibration, Sensirion provides a calibration protocol and software tools to support this process.
  • During a reset, the SHTW2's digital interface is inactive, and the device ignores any incoming commands. After a reset, the device returns to its default state, and the host system must re-initialize the sensor and set the desired measurement mode.
