SI8271BB-IS Details

A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the signal traces short and away from noise sources. Use a common mode choke or a ferrite bead to filter the input power.
Ensure the input voltage is within the recommended range (2.5V to 5.5V). Use a stable voltage regulator to power the device. Decouple the input voltage with a 10uF capacitor and a 100nF capacitor in parallel.
The maximum current rating of the SI8271BB-IS is 1A. However, it's recommended to derate the current to 0.8A for reliable operation and to prevent overheating.
Use a TVS diode or a zener diode to protect the input from overvoltage. Add a series resistor to limit the input current. Use an ESD protection device, such as a diode array, to protect the input from electrostatic discharge.
