Murata’s Type 2BZ Wi-Fi plus Bluetooth module provides easy-to-use wireless connectivity in a tiny package for size and power-sensitive IoT devices, smart home, handheld wireless systems, gateways, and industrial applications.
Type 2BZ modules feature an Infineon CYW54590 chipset with support for 2 by 2 MIMO dual-band Wi-Fi 5 at up to 866 megabits per second as well as Bluetooth 5.2, with on-chip coexistence hardware and algorithms to ensure maximum performance for both. The module communicates with the host processor using an SDIO 3.0 interface for WLAN while Bluetooth supports a high-speed 4-wire UART interface and PCM for audio data.
Type 2BZ modules feature an 11.4 by 8.9 by 1.4 millimeter shielded LGA package and are rated for operation at up to 85 degrees Celsius. Drivers are available to minimize development effort and time, and the modules are FCC and IC reference certified to minimize EMC concerns.
