Altium Updates
The latest update of Altium Designer (V21) was released in the late days of December 2020.
To support this new version of Altium Designer, we’ve updated our Library Loader utility. If you’re familiar with the plug-in, feel free to go ahead and download it right away!
If you’re not using the Library Loader yet, here is what you need to know:
- It’s a nifty little plugin that allows you to search and load parts directly inside your Altium Designer.
- It takes less than 3 minutes to configure.
- It’s completely free.
Altium is a powerful and flexible CAD tool that offers a unified design environment for schematic capture, PCB layout and design verification in one place. Its user-friendly interface is very intuitive with customizable workflows that help facilitate design focus.
The tool also has built-in collaboration features that allow for multiple engineers to work on the same project, simultaneously. It also offers built-in high-level analysis features for things like signal integrity analysis, power analysis, and thermal analysis that allow engineers to verify and improve reliability of their circuits and products.
Altium’s very large PCB library is even more powerful when paired with Component Search Engine’s Library Loader tool. The combination of Altium with Component Search Engine makes it especially easy and efficient to find and add components directly into a design.
