The BR104 can operate safely between -50°C to 150°C, but the maximum junction temperature (Tj) should not exceed 150°C.
To ensure safe operation, follow the recommended voltage and current ratings, and avoid exceeding the maximum peak repetitive reverse voltage (Vrrm) and average forward current (If(av)) ratings.
The typical forward voltage drop (Vf) for the BR104 is around 1.1V at an operating current of 1A and a junction temperature of 25°C.
While the BR104 can be used for high-frequency applications, its performance may degrade above 100 kHz due to internal capacitance and inductance. For high-frequency applications, consider using a faster diode bridge rectifier or a dedicated high-frequency rectifier.
To prevent electrostatic discharge (ESD) damage, handle the BR104 with an anti-static wrist strap or mat, and ensure the workspace is ESD-protected. Avoid touching the device's pins or leads with bare hands.
