F2914NBGK - Renesas Electronics

Description: The F2914 is a high reliability, low insertion loss, 50 Ω SP4T absorptive RF switch designed for a multitude of wireless and other RF applications.  This device covers a broad frequency range from 50 MHz to 8000 MHz.  In addition to providing low insertion loss, the F2914 also delivers excellent linearity and isolation performance while providing a 50 Ω termination to the unused RF ports.  The F2914 also includes a patent pending constant impedance (Kz) feature. Kz improves hot switching ruggedness, minimiz

F2914NBGK Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Ensure a minimum of 1mm clearance around the package for airflow and heat dissipation.
  • Power up the VCC and AVCC pins simultaneously, followed by the VREF pin. Ensure a power-on reset (POR) circuit to prevent incorrect operation during power-up.
  • Use a 10uF ceramic capacitor for VCC and AVCC, and a 1uF ceramic capacitor for VREF. Place the capacitors as close to the pins as possible.
  • Use a low-noise, low-impedance analog power supply, and ensure a stable reference voltage. Minimize digital noise coupling to the analog inputs by using separate analog and digital ground planes.
  • The maximum allowed clock skew is 1ns. Ensure that the clock signals are properly terminated and routed to minimize skew and jitter.
