  • A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias is recommended. Keep the switching node (SW) away from sensitive analog nodes and ensure good thermal conduction to the PCB.
  • Ensure a monotonic power-up and power-down sequence, with a minimum rise time of 10ms and a maximum fall time of 100ms. Also, add a soft-start circuit to limit inrush current.
  • Use a common-mode choke (CMC) with a minimum impedance of 100Ω at 100MHz, and add X-capacitors (e.g., 10nF) and Y-capacitors (e.g., 1nF) to filter differential and common-mode noise.
