  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the RF traces as short as possible and use 50-ohm impedance matching to minimize signal loss.
  • Use a quarter-wavelength monopole antenna or a dipole antenna with a good ground plane. Ensure the antenna is impedance-matched to 50 ohms and placed at least 10 mm away from other components.
  • The maximum operating temperature range for HSMA-C120 is -40°C to +85°C. However, it's recommended to operate within -20°C to +70°C for optimal performance and reliability.
  • Use the SPI interface to configure the device for low-power mode. Set the PMU_CTRL register to 0x01 and the LPM_CTRL register to 0x03. This will reduce the current consumption to around 10 uA.
