A thermal pad is recommended under the IC, and a 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a thermal relief pattern is suggested to improve heat dissipation. A minimum of 1 oz copper thickness is recommended.
To ensure stable output voltage regulation, it is recommended to use a 10uF or larger output capacitor with a low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) and a 1uF or larger input capacitor with a low ESR. Additionally, a 1kΩ to 10kΩ resistor can be added between the FB pin and the output capacitor to improve stability.
The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the RB461FT106 is 18V. Exceeding this voltage may cause damage to the device.
