Omron recommends a 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and thermal vias to dissipate heat. A minimum of 1 oz copper thickness is recommended. Additionally, a thermal pad on the bottom of the device should be connected to a heat sink or a thermal plane on the PCB.
To ensure reliable communication, Omron recommends using a differential signal transmission line with a characteristic impedance of 100 ohms, and terminating the transmission line with a 100 ohm resistor. Additionally, the clock signal should be synchronized with the data signal, and the signal rise and fall times should be less than 1 ns.
The XG4A-1632 can operate in a temperature range of -40°C to 125°C, but Omron recommends operating it within a range of -20°C to 85°C for optimal performance and reliability.
The XG4A-1632 has a built-in POR and BOD circuitry. To handle these features, Omron recommends connecting a capacitor between the VCC and GND pins to ensure a stable power supply, and using an external reset circuit to reset the device during power-on or brown-out conditions.
Omron recommends storing the XG4A-1632 in a dry, clean environment with a temperature range of 5°C to 30°C and humidity below 60%. The device should be handled with anti-static precautions, and the pins should not be bent or damaged during handling or assembly.
