A good PCB layout for the A6261KLYTR-T involves keeping the sense lines (VCC, GND, and SENSE) as short as possible, using a ground plane, and minimizing the distance between the IC and the sense resistor. A 4-layer PCB with a dedicated ground plane is recommended.
The A6261KLYTR-T has built-in thermal shutdown and overcurrent protection. When the device exceeds the maximum operating temperature (Tj) or current (Ilim), it will shut down. To handle these events, design a fault detection circuit to monitor the device's status and take corrective action.
