  • The recommended power-up sequence is to apply VDD before applying VREF. This ensures that the internal reference voltage is stable before the ADC starts converting.
  • To minimize noise and ensure accurate conversions, keep the analog and digital grounds separate, use a solid ground plane, and keep the analog input traces short and away from digital signals. Also, use a low-ESR capacitor for the VREF pin.
  • The maximum sampling rate of the AD7884AQ is 125 kSPS. As the sampling rate increases, the power consumption also increases. To minimize power consumption, reduce the sampling rate or use the power-down mode between conversions.
  • The AD7884AQ outputs 12-bit data in a serial format. The output data is in twos complement format, with the most significant bit (MSB) first. The data is clocked out on the SDO pin on the falling edge of the SCLK pin.
