ADC-002-1 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate analog ground plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point.
  • Route the clock signal as a differential pair, keeping the traces as short as possible and away from noisy signals. Use a clock signal integrity analysis tool to optimize the routing.
  • Use a combination of ceramic and electrolytic capacitors for power supply decoupling. Place a 100nF ceramic capacitor close to the ADC-002-1's power pins, and a 10uF electrolytic capacitor nearby.
  • Use a metal shield around the ADC-002-1, and ensure the PCB has a solid ground plane. Use EMI-absorbing materials and ferrite beads on cables to reduce radiation.
  • Perform a full-scale calibration using a known input signal. Use the ADC-002-1's built-in calibration registers to adjust the gain and offset. Consult the datasheet for specific calibration procedures.
