AS7341-DLGM Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate analog ground plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital signals separate and avoid routing digital signals under the AS7341-DLGM.
  • Use a light shield or a mechanical aperture to reduce ambient light. You can also use a dark chamber or a light-tight enclosure to minimize ambient light interference.
  • Power up the VDD pin first, followed by the VDDIO pin. Ensure that the VDD pin is stable before applying a clock signal to the SCL pin.
  • Perform a dark calibration by taking multiple readings with the sensor covered, and then average the results. Use this average value as the dark calibration value. For spectral calibration, use a calibrated light source and take readings at multiple wavelengths.
  • The maximum clock frequency is 400 kHz. However, it's recommended to use a clock frequency of 100 kHz or lower to ensure reliable communication.
