  • The recommended power-on sequence is to first apply VDD (1.8V to 3.6V) and then apply VDDIO (1.8V to 3.6V). This ensures that the internal voltage regulator is powered up correctly.
  • To enter sleep mode, set the 'sleep' bit in the control register (0x1D). The BMP085 will then enter a low-power state, reducing current consumption. To wake up the device, reset the 'sleep' bit.
  • The 'oss' register sets the oversampling rate for pressure and temperature measurements. A higher oversampling rate increases the resolution of the measurements, but also increases the measurement time and power consumption.
