CT2002-0 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • For optimal performance, it's recommended to follow a 4-layer PCB stack-up with a solid ground plane, and to use thermal vias to dissipate heat. A minimum of 1 oz copper thickness is recommended. Additionally, ensure a minimum of 10 mm clearance around the device for airflow and heat dissipation.
  • To ensure accurate current measurement, ensure the CT2002-0 is installed in a way that minimizes external magnetic interference. Use a twisted pair for the current sense lines, and keep them away from high-current carrying wires. Also, calibrate the device according to the datasheet instructions.
  • A 2-stage RC filter with a cutoff frequency of 10 kHz is recommended to filter out high-frequency noise and ensure accurate measurements. The filter should be placed as close to the CT2002-0 as possible.
  • The CT2002-0 has an internal overcurrent detection circuit. In the event of an overcurrent condition, the device will output a fault signal. It's recommended to implement an external overcurrent protection circuit to disconnect the load in case of an overcurrent event.
  • Calibration should be performed at room temperature (25°C) with a known current source. Apply a series of known currents to the device and measure the output voltage. Use a linear regression analysis to determine the calibration coefficients.
