Coiltronics recommends a minimum of 1.5 mm spacing between the inductor and other components, and a PCB layout that minimizes parasitic inductance and capacitance. A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane is also recommended.
Use a soldering iron with a temperature of 250°C to 260°C, and apply a small amount of solder to the pads. Ensure the inductor is securely fastened to the PCB using a suitable adhesive or mechanical fastener to prevent vibration and mechanical stress.
The CTX100-4-R is rated for operation from -40°C to +125°C, with a maximum storage temperature of +150°C. However, derating may be necessary for high-temperature applications.
Use proper shielding, grounding, and layout techniques to minimize EMI and RFI emissions. Consider using a shielded inductor or adding a ferrite bead to the circuit to reduce emissions.
The CTX100-4-R is rated for a maximum current of 10 A, but the actual current rating may vary depending on the application and operating conditions. Consult the datasheet and Coiltronics' application notes for more information.
