HMCAD1520 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the signal traces short and away from the power plane to minimize noise coupling.
  • To minimize power consumption, operate the device at the lowest possible supply voltage (1.8V) and reduce the clock frequency to the minimum required for the application. Additionally, use the power-down mode when the device is not in use.
