  • Texas Instruments recommends a 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a thermal pad connected to a large copper area on the bottom layer to dissipate heat. A minimum of 1 oz copper thickness is recommended.

  • The output voltage ripple can be calculated using the formula: ΔVout = (Iout * ESL) / (Cout * fsw), where ESL is the equivalent series inductance of the output capacitor, Cout is the output capacitance, and fsw is the switching frequency.
  • The LM26CIM5-YPA/NOPB can withstand input voltage transients up to 18V for a duration of less than 100ms. However, it is recommended to limit the input voltage to 15V to ensure reliable operation.
