A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the input and output capacitors close to the IC, and use short, wide traces for the power lines.
Ensure that the output capacitor has a low ESR, and the input capacitor is at least 10uF. Also, add a 10nF capacitor between the VIN and GND pins to filter out high-frequency noise.
The maximum input voltage is 42V, but it's recommended to keep it below 36V to ensure reliable operation and prevent damage to the IC.
The output voltage is determined by the resistor divider network (R1 and R2) connected to the FB pin. The output current capability depends on the input voltage, output voltage, and the inductor value. Refer to the datasheet for the calculation formulas.
