  • A 2-layer or 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a thermal relief pattern around the IC is recommended. The thermal pad should be connected to a large copper area to dissipate heat efficiently.
  • To ensure stability, a minimum output capacitance of 10uF with an ESR of 0.1 ohms or less is recommended. Additionally, the output voltage should be decoupled with a 1uF ceramic capacitor.
  • The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the VIN pin is 28V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the IC.
  • The output voltage ripple can be calculated using the formula: ΔVout = (Iout x ESR) / (f x Cout), where Iout is the output current, ESR is the equivalent series resistance of the output capacitor, f is the switching frequency, and Cout is the output capacitance.
