  • The maximum input voltage that can be applied to the VIN pin is 5.5V. Exceeding this voltage may damage the device.
  • To ensure the stability of the output voltage, it is recommended to use a minimum output capacitance of 10uF and a maximum ESR of 1 ohm. Additionally, the output voltage should be decoupled with a 10nF ceramic capacitor.
  • The EN (enable) pin is used to turn the device on and off. To turn the device on, the EN pin should be pulled high (above 1.4V). To turn the device off, the EN pin should be pulled low (below 0.4V).
  • The inductor value should be selected based on the output current and switching frequency. A higher inductor value is recommended for higher output currents and lower switching frequencies. The datasheet provides a formula to calculate the inductor value based on the application requirements.
  • The maximum output current that the LTC3568 can deliver is 2A. However, the output current should be derated based on the input voltage, output voltage, and ambient temperature.
