  • The maximum sampling rate of the MCP3208 is 100,000 samples per second (100 kSPS) for a single channel, and 50,000 samples per second (50 kSPS) for multiple channels.
  • The MCP3208 can be configured for differential or pseudo-differential mode by setting the corresponding bits in the Configuration Register (CR). For differential mode, set bit 7 (DIFF) to 1, and for pseudo-differential mode, set bit 7 (DIFF) to 0 and bit 6 (PDIFF) to 1.
  • The VREF pin on the MCP3208 is used to set the analog reference voltage for the ADC. The VREF pin can be connected to an external voltage reference or to the internal 2.048V reference voltage.
