  • A 4-layer PCB with a solid ground plane and a separate power plane is recommended. Keep the analog and digital grounds separate and connect them at a single point. Use a 10uF capacitor between VDD and VSS, and a 100nF capacitor between AVDD and AVSS.
  • Use a high-quality crystal oscillator with a frequency tolerance of ±20 ppm or better. Ensure the oscillator circuit is decoupled from the power supply and digital noise. Use a 1kΩ resistor in series with the crystal to reduce the drive level.
  • The maximum allowed voltage on the analog input pins is VDD + 0.3V. Exceeding this voltage may cause damage to the device.
  • The BOR feature is enabled by default. To disable it, set the BOR bit in the Configuration Word. When BOR is enabled, the device will reset if the voltage drops below the brown-out threshold (around 2.2V).
  • Power up the device in the following sequence: VDD, AVDD, and then VREF. Ensure that VDD and AVDD are powered up simultaneously to prevent latch-up.
